Randstad's flex-worker Dorothy really is One in a Million
Randstad, the world’s third recruitment and HR services company is pleased to announce they have nominated fantastic flex-worker Dorothy Mason for the REC’s prestigious National Temporary Workers Week awards.
The One in a Million awards celebrate and raises the profile of the UK's temporary and contract workers. Dorothy Mason, a packer operator at Walkers, Peterlee was nominated by Randstad’s Michelle Strange for being a truly committed worker.
Michelle, onsite account specialist at Walkers, Peterlee said: “I just had to nominate Dorothy Mason because she always go above and beyond in her job. Since she started work with us, she has cancelled her holidays at short notice and even took two weeks off work unpaid, giving her shifts to people who were struggling with money. I think Dorothy is an amazing example of a great flex-worker.”
Dorothy said: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out I was nominated. I don’t think that I’m One in a Million but it’s lovely to be recognised for my work by Randstad and can’t wait to find out if I’m short listed!”
Dorothy was presented with shopping vouchers and a big bunch of flowers to celebrate the nomination and will find out shortly if she will go on to compete for the prestigious One in a Million award.
